The Golden Hinde

The Golden Hinde is a full-scale replica of an Elizabethan galleon furnished to illustrate 16th-century seafaring. Design: Timber-planked decks, low gunwales and narrow companionways give the interior a compact, vertical profile typical of an Elizabethan galleon. A single tall mast, exposed rigging and painted hull detailing create a clearly historic, hand-crafted finish. Features: The ship has Wi-Fi, a PA system and speakers, and permits hosts to play their own music or bring a DJ. Hosts can use contiguous deck spaces for displays, guided tours or standing receptions, and on-site staff provide operational support during hire periods. Ideal for: Schools, heritage groups and small cultural organisations seeking an immersive, educational and social experience. What guests say: The ship provides detailed audio interpretation and hands-on, child-friendly exhibits. The ship's preservation and maintenance is evident in its condition.
