About Cozy

Cosy, not corporate.

Cozy is a home for the rooms that make gatherings feel like gatherings — and a free, fair way to find them.

Why we built it

Most venue sites are built for conferences. Search for a room for twelve people and you get hotel suites with lanyards, strip lights and a minimum spend. Meanwhile the spaces people actually love — a studio above a shop, a chapel with a piano, a mill house with a long kitchen table — are hard to find and harder to book.

Cozy is for those spaces, and for the workshops, supper clubs, retreats, rehearsals, shoots, salons and celebrations that belong in them.

What makes a space “cosy”

Every listing is looked at by a person before it goes live. We ask five questions: does it have character, is it cared for, is it a human scale, is it warm and full of light, and is it within reach for community groups and small organisers? Generic conference suites don’t make the cut, however shiny.

Free, with no commission

Listing a space is free. Messaging is free. When a renter and a host agree a booking, the money goes straight from one to the other — Cozy never holds it and never takes a percentage. That keeps prices fair for guests and keeps hosts in charge of their own business.

We don’t show prices on the site, either. Every space and every group is different, so the conversation comes first. Hosts can show a simple badge — “Community rates”, “Charity-friendly”, “Flexible for grassroots” — if they offer something special.

Funded by donations

Cozy runs on voluntary donations from hosts and guests who found it useful. We publish what it costs to run, so you can see exactly where the money goes. If Cozy helped you find your space, a small donation keeps it free for the next person.

Two friendly guides

Dea the dragon helps you find a space: tell her what you’re planning and she’ll shortlist places and ask the hosts for you. Leo the lion helps hosts: he drafts listings from photos, suggests replies and keeps calendars tidy. Both only work from real listings, and nothing is sent or booked without a person saying yes.

Help shape Cozy

An idea, a bug, a wobble — it all goes straight to the team.
