CrowdfundBETA

Back the places that make a neighbourhood.

Community kitchens, chapel roofs, retreat barns, a season of talks. Pledge a little to help a good space open or reopen. Your money goes straight to the people doing it.

  • No commission

Pledges go straight to the organiser’s own Stripe account. Cozy never holds the money.

  • Checked by a person

Every campaign is read before it goes live: real organiser, clear plan, a budget that adds up.

  • Gifts, not investments

Donations and rewards only. No shares, no loans, no financial return.

How it works

Crowdfund from your community with no commission and potentially win some match funding too!

  1. 1

Tell Leo what you want to do

A few lines is enough. Leo drafts the story, a budget that adds up and some reward ideas. You make it yours.

  2. 2

    Cozy checks it

We look for a real organiser, a clear plan, a realistic budget and permission to use the space. Then you connect Stripe and launch.

  3. 3

    Pledges go straight to you

Flexible: keep what you raise. All or nothing: cards are only charged if you hit the target. Councils, funds and local businesses can pledge alongside, including match funding that adds a pound for every pound your people give, up to a limit.

Good to know

Crowdfund is in beta. Tell us what would make it better through the feedback button.

Does Cozy take a cut?

No. Every pledge is paid straight into the organiser’s own Stripe account. Cozy charges no commission and no platform fee, and never holds the money. Stripe’s own card fees apply, as they would anywhere.

What do I get for backing?

A thank you, and sometimes a reward the organiser offers: an invitation, your name on a board, a ticket. Rewards are a promise from the organiser. Backing is never an investment: there are no shares, no interest and no financial return.

What is “all or nothing”?

Your card is saved when you pledge and only charged if the campaign reaches its target by the end date. If it doesn’t, nobody is charged. “Flexible” campaigns take your pledge straight away and keep what they raise.

Who checks the campaigns?

Someone at Cozy reads every campaign before it goes live: is the organiser real, is the plan clear, does the budget add up, and do they have permission to use the space. Anyone can report a campaign from its page.

Can organisations pledge too?

Yes. Councils, funds and local businesses can pledge alongside the crowd, including match funding or a pledge that unlocks at a milestone. In the beta, email hello@cozylondon.co.uk and we’ll add it after checking with the organiser.
