Terms of use.
These terms explain how Cozy works and what we each agree to when you use www.cozylondon.co.uk. We’ve kept them as plain as we can. By using Cozy you accept them.
1. What Cozy is (and isn’t)
Cozy is a discovery and messaging service. We help guests find spaces and talk to the people who run them. We are not a party to any booking. When a guest and a host agree a booking, the contract is between them alone. Cozy doesn’t own, manage, inspect or insure any space, and doesn’t collect or hold payments.
2. It’s free
Listing a space, browsing, messaging and booking are free. Cozy takes no commission and charges no booking fees. Donations are welcome but always optional, and they don’t buy any special treatment.
3. Accounts
You need to be 18 or over to send enquiries or list a space. Keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
4. For hosts
- Your listing is your responsibility. It must be accurate, describe a real space you have the right to offer, and use photos you took or have permission to use. You confirm this when you upload.
- You’re responsible for your own licences, insurance, health and safety, planning permission and any permissions from landlords or neighbours.
- Your invoices are yours. Cozy creates invoices on your behalf from the details you provide, but you are the seller. You’re responsible for the amounts, VAT and tax, refunds and any disputes about payment.
- If you turn on Leo’s negotiating, he’ll only work within the terms you set. Nothing is booked until both you and the guest approve.
- Cozy reviews listings before they go live and may decline, pause or remove a listing that doesn’t fit our guidelines or these terms.
5. For guests
- Describe your event honestly — numbers, timings and what you’ll be doing — so hosts can say yes with confidence.
- Follow the host’s house rules and treat the space with care. Your agreement about cancellations, deposits and damage is with the host.
- Dea suggests spaces and sends enquiries only when you say so. She can make mistakes; check the details with the host before you rely on them.
6. Payments
Guests pay hosts directly — by card through the host’s own Stripe account, by bank transfer, or on invoice. Cozy never asks for payment in a message and never holds money. If anyone asks you to pay outside these routes, don’t, and report the conversation.
7. Being a good neighbour
Don’t use Cozy to spam, harass, discriminate, scrape content, send malware, or list anything illegal or unsafe. Don’t try to take conversations off Cozy to avoid our safety checks. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
8. Content
You keep ownership of what you post. You give Cozy a licence to display it on Cozy, in search results and in our own promotion of your space, for as long as it’s listed. Our AI assistants may draft text for you; you’re responsible for checking it before you publish or send it.
9. Our responsibility
We work hard to keep Cozy accurate and available, but we provide it “as is”. We’re not responsible for what happens at a space, for the conduct of hosts or guests, or for a booking that goes wrong — though we’ll always try to help. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer.
10. Ending things
You can close your account at any time from your account. We may end or suspend access if these terms are broken. Bookings already agreed between a guest and a host stay between them.
11. Changes and law
We may update these terms; if the change matters we’ll tell you before it applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions: hello@cozylondon.co.uk.
