About The Charterhouse
The Norfolk Garden, a Garden in The Charterhouse, is a compact historic walled garden that forms a sheltered outdoor room within the Charterhouse complex. Design: The space has an intimate, enclosed scale: a central lawn framed by mixed perennial borders, mature trees and gravel paths that create dappled natural light and shaded pockets. Features: A permanent PA system and speakers are installed and hosts may play their own music or bring a DJ. The space has step‑free guest access, is wheelchair accessible and is supported by accessible toilets. Ideal for: Friends, colleagues or community groups seeking a relaxed, social standing reception or an informal seated meal in a compact outdoor setting. What guests say: The garden is attractive and pretty and provides a quiet, reflective setting within the Charterhouse complex.
